Add your feeds to Facebook
Today we're going to add a new Joomla site to Facebook. What do I mean by that? Well I mean that Facebook allows you to take RSS (really simple syndication) feeds from your site, and add them to your wall, where RSS articles appear as wall posts.
OK let's take a look at the site, http://www.cst.net - it's only two days old, but we want to get Facebook set up before we proceed with more content. OK in the lower left is an RSS symbol, clicking there brings up this feed URL:
http://www.cst.net/index.php?format=feed&type=rss
So then let's go to Facebook. Hmm... it appears that they have never built a native way in Facebook to put more than one RSS feed on your wall, or pages, etc., in Facebook. I will need to pick up several feeds from my pages and sites, and put them in different pages in Facebook. But now it seems someone has built a new app, still in Alpha, that will do this for us. It's called RSS Graffiti and it's website is here: http://www.rssgraffiti.com/
So we're going to proceed with that and add two rss feeds from cst.net - the front page, and the mobile blog. So, we add the app, give it permissions, and add the above feed URL to it as the first feed. If it works, it will show this article.
