Is Homo Sapiens Closer to Chimps or Orangutans?

As a follow up to the "Chimps make a TV show" post, I thought I'd put at least one post with a link to the "Chimps Vs. Orangutans" debate, regarding which is evolutionarily closer to modern humans (Homo Sapiens Sapiens, to be technically correct with the taxonomic nomenclature). It's an interesting debate, as in the past, most paleontologists used morphological and other clues to determine how closely two species are related, but with the advent of easier DNA analysis, it seems that the geneticists have the upper hand - here's a good article to learn more:
